The Non-Visionary Twat that is Our Prime Minister

Standard

cameronAfter a highly exciting Arab Spring in which the West came to the conclusion that Arabs are just like ‘normal’ people wishing to live in a free and democratic system, things have turned rather sour. Syria has fallen into an abyss of severe violence and Egypt’s freely elected president Morsi, in first instants given the benefit of the doubt, has shown himself as the true Islamist wolf in sheep clothing he really is. Granting oneself extraordinary powers does not ring well in any democracy, especially not in a brand new one.

Closer to home democracy is making a laugh of itself as Cameron was very quick to dismiss the key recommendation of the Leveson inquiry despite great public support. Besides that his Chancellor doesn’t seem to be able to fix the economy – don’t get me started on the economy- Cameron has shown us yet again that there is absolutely nothing visionary about his leadership. I’m referring to his non-vision on this country’s drug policy. The UK has a problem with drugs. I would think a rather big one with both legal as well as illegal substances. The issues with coffee and tea might be limited to over-sensitive nerves, stained teeth and bad breath, alcohol, tobacco and the banned class A, B and Cs put a significant strain on both the health care service as well as the police forces. I feel my hard-earned tax-payers money is utterly wasted on twats who find themselves in A&E on a Saturday night due to alcohol-related injuries, as well as on the war on drugs, which is a costly yet utterly sad and losing game. Many of those in the health service and the police force know current drug policies are not working. Consumers know the policy is not working. Cameron, however, faced with the call for a review of the current drug policy rejects the idea of a commission that is to do just that. His argument is that current policies are working. I shouldn’t be surprised, but still, no Dark Fairy words are to express my contempt for our Prime Minister’s retarded and utterly unhelpful stance. If drug polices are based on morality rather than on health concerns something might not be quite right. If current drug policies provide law enforcement agencies with billions of sterling to intercept only approximately one(!) percent of the total drugs trade, something is clearly not working. If our prisons are full of people who have a health problem and petty criminals who are either just greedy or just answering the huge demand for intoxicating means, while rapists, tax dodgers and many a murderer remain on the streets, then current policies are clearly doing society a great disservice. I’m just in disbelieve that the leader of our country fails to see and accept what is clear as crystal glass to millions of ordinary people. I’m deeply disappointed that our Prime Minster is not at all keen to be innovative to make this country better in both economic as well as social terms. The economy is not improving and there is still no plan B. There has been an equalities act for almost four decades, yet the Church is still allowed to reject female leadership. The public wants some statutory underpinning of press regulations so amoral bastards who feel totally entitled to chase any (non-)story no matter the cost purely for financial gain, can be hold accountable. The Prime Minister leaves a smelling turd on public sentiment and sticks his head in the sand when it comes to retarded drug policies.

What Morsi is doing stinks like a blocked sewer, at least he has a vision. Not that I want to trade with my sisters and brothers in Egypt, because democracy is a smoke screen almost everywhere in the world. And then politicians are seriously wondering why the public is not engaged. F*cking retards…
